Distribution Partner Support

Relationships with distributors are reinforced in local branches through personal relationships. Counter days provide a dual opportunity. First, we are able to demonstrate equipment for walk-in customers as well as answer technical design questions. Additionally, these day-long visits provide an opportunity to work directly with distributor branch staff to strengthen technology knowledge.

Additional visits to distributors are intended for verification of stock levels on the shelves and in the warehouse and deployment of in-store promotional displays.

 

 

Distributors also request support for branch or regional education sessions for their dealers. Topics range from CCTV101 to Fundamentals of IP Video. These sessions are held locally at branches or regionally at conference centers or hotel venues for larger audiences.

 

 

System Design and Parts Lists

Aside from knowing the products inside and out, we also provide complete project parts list, not just from one manufacturer, but most importantly from many of our manufacturers, thus creating a comprehensive solution, not just a list of disparate devices.

The integration of devices from various manufacturers allows for cross selling as a direct result of providing a system solution rather than a component solution.

Comprehensive project packages are compiled consisting of multiple manufacturer parts lists, A&E specifications, product data sheets, and system line diagrams. These are provided as hard copy and electronically to the customer.

 

Online Demo Equipment

Our lineup of online demonstration equipment Includes IP cameras, digital recording, access control, and intrusion detection. These devices are online for your use as you are developing a project strategy. By having these devices programmed into your laptop, mobile phone or tablet, you can be ready for an immediate comparison of HD vs. SD or exploration of many other concepts. There is merit to the saying "a picture says a thousand words."

Product Demonstration Facilities in MD and PA

Our demonstration facilities in Abingdon, Maryland and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania provide a means by which to truly demonstrate the breadth of products represented by Midlantic and Chesapeake inclusive of communication, security video, intrusion detection, and access control solutions.

These facilities are excellent locations for strategic partnership planning meetings. The rooms provide a soft cross-sell opportunity by displaying equipment from multiple manufacturers in an interactive way throughout the rooms.

These rooms also play a key part in our ability to become familiar with new equipment, prove technical capabilities, and answer technical questions when customers contact our inside support staff with programming or trouble shooting questions.

 

 

Tactical & Practical

The Midlantic Marketing and Chesapeake Marketing staff takes great pride in recommending solutions based on first-hand experiences. We go to great lengths to train our team and to provide hands-on opportunities. When we encounter a significant lesson learned, we share that knowledge through a series of short documents called Tactical and Practical. Topics include low light imaging, bit rate realities, alarm communication over IP, and more. These documents help to set reasonable expectations with customers.

 

 

Presentations and Shows

Distribution channel partners frequently turn to Midlantic Marketing and Chesapeake Marketing staff to be the “topic expert” for technical sales presentations and shows. Additionally, our team produces “road shows” to promote all of our manufacturers in the same venue exclusively. This allows for cross promotion and total system solution discussions with end users, consultants, and integrators.
