Our demonstration facilities in Abingdon, Maryland and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania provide a means by which to truly demonstrate the breadth of products represented by Midlantic and Chesapeake inclusive of communication, security video, intrusion detection, and access control solutions.
These facilities are excellent locations for strategic partnership planning meetings. The rooms provide a soft cross-sell opportunity by displaying equipment from multiple manufacturers in an interactive way throughout the rooms.
These rooms also play a key part in our ability to become familiar with new equipment, prove technical capabilities, and answer technical questions when customers contact our inside support staff with programming or trouble shooting questions.
The sum of our demonstration facility equipment and mobile equipment also allows us the ability to provide a proof of concept deployment. This can help to provide verification of functionality for simple systems to complex, integrated systems.
End users often request simple to extremely complex technical product demonstrations and proof of concept demonstrations. Our team has a vast stockpile of current and legacy demonstration equipment, all of which is able to be taken to customer sites for these efforts. Each of our field staff has a local cache of these products, such a large investment has been made in this equipment that our personnel rarely need to lend gear between each other. Field demonstration capability includes imaging for analog and IP cameras that are fixed or PTZ, recording demonstrations for simple analog systems to complex iSCSI based storage solutions, infrared illumination, intrusion detection, man-down systems, and access control systems.
Our Maryland and Pennsylvania demonstration facilities also double as technical classrooms. Customers look to us to provide learning experience not provided by the manufacturers. Many times they look for this education to be non-manufacturer dependent so that they can get base technical knowledge on a topic that allows them to make informed decisions..
The Midlantic Marketing and Chesapeake Marketing staff takes great pride in recommending solutions based on first-hand experiences. We go to great lengths to train our team and to provide hands-on opportunities. When we encounter a significant lesson learned, we share that knowledge through a series of short documents called Tactical and Practical. Topics include low light imaging, bit rate realities, alarm communication over IP, and more. These documents help to set reasonable expectations with customers.

This support service is commonly used for implementation of large scale IP video based solutions. This reduces reactive, post-sales support significantly and develops the skill set of the integrator.
